Raft Game Journalism Day 1

Raft is a survival game where you are stranded on a raft in the middle of the ocean with nothing but a hook attached to a rope. You are surrounded by debris that you collect to survive, but since the shark infested waters aren't too friendly, you use the hook to grab resources from the water. The obvious main focus is to survive, not explore, and hope to be rescued by building a radio. Of course building a radio from garbage you find floating in the ocean isn't going to be easy.

Sharks attack your raft from time to time, and makes swimming dangerous

You collect debris by throwing this hook out into the ocean or using your hands to grab nearby items floating by. The items consist of a barrel, plank of wood, plastic tube, plastic jug, plastic crate, and palm leaves. Barrels supply random items, but most importantly they supply scrap metal and food occasionally. Planks of wood are used for most crafting and building. All of the plastic in the ocean is used for replacing your hook when it's broken and for making cups to hold water. Palm leaves are the second most used resource next to wood, and especially since you can make rope out of them.
